The Eternal Flow

Aarti Zaveri 2016, Wood scrap, Metal wire, 30′ L x 10′ W x 8′ H, Display – indoor/outdoor.

From the Whirls and the Swirls, Yet constantly flowing… Its destiny Divine Its Journey a reflection of mankind… Of pauses, stops and moving on Of being One with the Divine.

The Installation reflects on the journey of the river from the high mountains to the vast ocean, of how it goes through, of how it carries thoughts when it pauses, shedding the baggage it acquires unwillingly and letting go of all as it merges with the ocean. The use of wood to depict the flow adds to the installation and brings its close association with humans. India is a land where the river is revered and celebrated and has a close connection apart from its usual use.

The Art Installations of the exhibition Elements of Being tend to use mostly Organic materials very much in keeping with Nature. Lalit Kala New Delhi.
